We are Angela and Tatiana, two Colombian sisters established in the beautiful city of Barcelona for over 25 years. Why did we decide to start this adventure of specialty coffee? Because coffee is in our DNA and it has been a family heritage that has been transmitted through 3 generations.
Our childhood in Colombia was a happy one, as we spent our holidays on the farms of our grandfather, Juan Bautista Marín.
It was he who inculcated in us his passion for cultivating the land and respect for the ancestral coffee culture. He managed to plant a seed in us, leaving a mark on our lives forever and inspiring in us the dream of offering the best coffee in the world to everyone.
After more than 25 years in Spain and having learned about the tourism industry, financial management and worked in large multinationals, the coffee seed planted by our grandfather germinated strongly.
We decided to train and learn more about the world of specialty coffee, from the cultivation to the preparation in the cup, including the art of roasting. In this way, we managed to understand the complexity behind a good cup of coffee and all the different types that exist.
ContactFinally, in 2022, we launched the Nativa Café brand. The most special coffee in the current collection is the beans grown by our uncle, Argemiro Marín, on the land he inherited from his father.
Nativa Café is the bridge that connects coffee lovers with coffee growers. It is a tribute to our mother, who is the true Coffee Nativa. We gave strength to that legacy and a continuity thousands of kilometres away from where we come from. To turn it into a coffee shop near you and all those who want to enjoy a good cup of coffee.
Coffee is our native language, and it is through Nativa Café that we want to share this passion and love for this elixir of life with the rest of the world.
